Hamburger Roll

Meat Filling:

In large frying pan, over medium heat, brown:

1 lb. Ground Beef

Add to frying pan with meat and cook until slightly soft:

1/2 c. Onion, chopped
1/2 c. Celery, chopped
1/2 c. Green Pepper, chopped

Drain liquid from meat mixture and return to stove.

Add to frying pan and cook until thickened:

2 T. Flour
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 t. Pepper
1/3 c. Water

Set aside meat filling.

Biscuit Dough:

In mixing bowl combine:

2 c. Flour
1 T. Baking Powder
1/2 t. Salt

Cut in:

1/4 c. Shortening

Add and combine:

3/4 c. Milk

On floured surface, knead biscuit dough about 10 times.
Roll dough out into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Spreading meat filling on top of biscuit dough.
Roll up like a cinnamon roll starting with the long side
Press all edges together.
Place the whole roll on a baking sheet.

Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.

When done baking, slice roll in individual serving sizes.
Serve with milk gravy.

Milk Gravy

Warm in sauce pan over medium heat until melted:

1/4 c. Butter

Add to sauce pan and combine until smooth:

1/4 c. Flour
1/2 t. Montreal Steak Seasoning

Add and heat until bubbly and thick, stiring constantly:

2 ½ c. Milk
