Cinnamon Butter Recipe
My husband loves a big breakfast on Christmas morning. It only took a few years of having our own Christmas at home for me to finally realize I am not - in any way, shape, or form - awake enough to take on the Christmas breakfast feast. It just isn't in me that early in the morning. (These breakfast foods on this site are 99% of the time made for dinner!) I tried convincing him that muffins and chocolate milk would make a great breakfast for Christmas morning but he wouldn't go for it. True story. So now Christmas breakfast is my husband's domain and he is fabulous at it. I am his number 1 helper but helpers are allowed to slack off every now and again so that works for me!
But my big contribution each Christmas breakfast is this crazy yummy Cinnamon Butter. I usually make this butter for Thanksgiving and stick the extra in small containers in the freezer to pull out for fun festive meals, such as Christmas breakfast. Just pull it out of your freezer the night before using and enjoy!
Also, if you want to be the favorite aunt, bring this Cinnamon Butter and a bag of rolls to your next family get together and your nieces and nephews will think you are the greatest aunt ever. Not kidding - at least when it comes to my brother's kids!
This recipe makes quite a bit. I adjusted the original recipe to make enough for a whole can of Sweetened Condensed Milk instead of just using some of it. I hated only using part of a can because I never knew what to do with the rest of it. It seemed a shame for it to go to waste. The good thing about making a lot of this butter is that it is great as a friend/neighbor gift, freezes great to use later for other festive meals, or use as favorite aunt bribery! Whatever this Cinnamon Butter's purpose, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
