Homemade Pizza Recipe
What's better than homemade pizza? According to my kids, homemade pizza that they get to make themselves. I dusted off some small pizza pans we got one year for Christmas and I have been letting the kids make their own. They get to form their own pizza crusts with the dough, add as much sauce (or as little sauce like my 4-year-old prefers), cheese, and toppings as they want. Well as much as they want unless a certain daughter of mine wants 4 layers of pepperoni. I do have to draw the line somewhere.
It is now one of the kids' favorite dinner nights and I love how easy it is and how much fun they have making their own personalized pizza. Although, I should add that the first couple of times wasn't the most fun as there was a ridiculous amount of sauce flying through the air, cheese being eaten by the handfuls when mom wasn't looking, and olives on the fingers instead of on the pizzas. But now that we have done it a few times, we are getting better. That and the fact that I now just let one or two kids make their pizzas at a time. Live and learn.
Served with a side of fresh salad and some fruit and your meal is complete!
